Peter- Peter is an orphan boy who sent out to sea in a not so great boat called the Never Land. Peter also is extremely curious and goes looking for the magical trunk. He is a friend of Molly and gets hold of some starstuff. When Peter gets a hold of this starstuff on the island he can fly. But accidently he has to much so Peter will be able to fly whenever he wants to and will stay 12 forever. He tricks the pirates and becomes friends with the mermaids. At the end of the book Peter decides to stay on the island and not to go with Molly.
Molly- Molly is a girl who also goes aboard the Never Land. Her father is about to become the kings adviser. Molly is also a starcatcher. When the ship sinks Molly also land on the same island as Peter. She saves Peter from Mister Grin. Molly's dad is also a starcatcher. Molly also can speak porpoise so she can communicate with Ammm.
Black Stache- Black Stache is the most feared pirate in the seven seas. He is captain of the Sea Devil, but takes over another ship called the Wasp and renames it the Jolly Roger. Then he comes and attacks the Never Land in search of the trunk of starstuff. When the storm comes Blank Stache goes away from the storm. Then his look-out spots land. This island is also where Peter and Molly are. Then he goes looking for the trunk which he thinks is on this island.
Ammm- Ammm is a starcatcher. He is not just any starcatcher he is a porpoise. A porpoise is a type of dolphin. He has communicated with Molly and told her about the pirates. Ammm also leads Molly and Peter to the trunk. He is also great help when trying to stop the pirates from getting the trunk.
Slank- Slank is the Never Land's first mate. Slank is the person that everybody listens to. Slank is captured by the pirates but escapes. Then he goes looking for the trunk. Slank is in a group called the others and they are sort of the same as the starcatchers but they are the bad guys.
Teacher- Teacher is a mermaid. She turns into a mermaid when she gets hold of the starstuff. She is guarding the trunk when Slank attacks her for the trunk and he stabs her in the head. She does not die and Peter uses the starstuff to heal her.
Leonard Aster- He is Molly's dad. He is also one of the most famous starcatchers in the world. He goes aboard the Wasp and is taken prisoner by the pirates. He too escaped. Finally he comes to rescue Molly and the other children.
Fighting Prawn- He is the leader of the Mollusks. He is an old man and was once a slave on a boat. He also speaks English. Fighting Prawn is also intrerested in the trunk.
